My Top 10 Golf Apps is a short blog post covering some of my favourite Apps that most golfers can’t do without.
There are thousands of Golf Apps out there that cover all sorts of topics to do with Golf.
Some of them are used as a GPS that tells you where you are on the course and the distance left to the green or hole.
Other Apps will show you actual tournament info and live leaderboards etc.
Some of the Apps are great if you need help with your swing. Certain Apps can help you look for a specific rule to help make a decision.
There is an App out there for everybody. Below, you will find a list of my favourite Golf Apps.
First of all, let me explain that I have listed these Apps in no particular order. I have also chosen Apps that are free to download.
My favourite Apps to download
V1 Golf
This App allows you to take a video of your swing and review your technique. It uses great swing analysis using playback tools.
You can also send the videos to your PGA Professional for analysis. What? You don’t have a Pro! No problem, there are hundreds of V1 Professionals on the App to choose from.
R&A Rules of Golf
This App covers the rules of golf. Using lots of photos and how-to-videos to explain and give guidance on many common situations. It also has a quiz on the golf rules which is great for the after round clubhouse gathering.
The Masters Tournament
Includes player profiles, live leaderboard, tee-times, 3D Track Navigation and live cameras following the lead groups. This is very user friendly and it’s packed with information and history covering The Masters.
The Open
Live leaderboard, live coverage, player profiles, shop. This App is the best tournament App on the market. It also includes great offers, competitions, trivia and other great experiences.
European Tour
This App had a poor start but it has had a revamp and is now pretty awesome. Player profiles, tournament schedules covering the European Tour, Challenge Tour & Staysure Tour, live leaderboards and much much more.
PGA Tour
Again, this App is full of information on players, tournaments, statistics, videos, live leaderboards etc. This is probably one of the better Apps that is packed with information.
Motocaddy GPS
With data from over 40,000 courses worldwide, this GPS tracker will tell you distances to the front, middle and to the back of the green. Course maps and flyovers in 2D & 3D options. Score tracking and statistics are also available.
VPAR
Another amazing GPS App giving friends the possibility of a live leaderboard, statistics, game formats etc. This is a great addition to the regular game with your friends.
Golfshot Golf GPS + AR
The most comprehensive GPS App on the market. Over 45,000 courses including 360° views of each hole. Pinpoint accuracy with real-time distances to the holes, Statistics galore & course flyovers. Improve it too by with in-App purchases.
