Scottish Golf on a Budget

wouldI Scottish Golf on a Budget is a short golf blog post that looks at some of the best value golf courses in Scotland.

Golf is still seen as an elite sport for the wealthier side of society. But having said that, you can still find courses to suit a smaller budget.

In Scotland, the home of golf, it is still possible to find cheap golf if you look around.

The original idea for this golf blog post was to try and find green fees for under 20 pounds. But there were too many to list in one blog post.

So instead, I set myself, to what I thought was impossible, a target of just 10 pounds per round.

I was amazed at what I found on the internet.

All of the following green fees are for 18 holes of Golf that I have found online for the 1st of March 2023.

My Top 10 Cheap Golf Courses in Scotland.

Balmore Golf Club, Glasgow. Par 68 and green fees cost 11 pounds per round. Check out the website now.

Niddry Castle Golf Club, Linlithgow. Par 70 and costs 10.50 for 18 holes. Find out more by visiting their website.

Swanston Templar Golf, Edinburgh is a Par 54, only 10 pounds per round. To get more information regarding the Templer Course, click here.

Castle Park Golf Club, Haddington. Par 71 and is only 10 pounds for 18 holes. This is a great course, click here to visit the website.

Westhill Golf Club, Aberdeen. Par 71 and is only 10 pounds per round. More information can be found here.

Shotts Golf Club, Lanarkshire. Par 70 and a round of golf will set you back 10 pounds. More details about Shotts Golf can be found on their website.

Newtonmore Golf Club, Cairngorms National Park. Par 70 and costs only 10 pounds. The website can be reached here.

Dalmilling Golf Club, Ayrshire. An 18-hole course with a Par 69 will cost you 8.99 for a round. Check out the Golf South Ayrshire website for more information because Dalmilling doesn’t have its own.

Torrance Park, Motherwell. Par 71 and costs 8 pounds per round. Click on the link for further information.

Maybole Golf Club, Ayrshire. A nine-hole course, Par 66 and will cost a massive 6 pounds for 18 holes. You will need to click on the Golf South Ayrshire website again because Maybole doesn’t have its own.
