The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is a short golf blog that looks at one of my favourite golf tournaments.

The Championship has been played since 2001.

This year it will be played from 29th September until 2nd October 2022.

It is played as a Team Championship, which includes many celebrities and parallel to that there is an individual Professionals prize.

It is played over three courses: The Old Course at St Andrew’s, The Championship Course at Carnoustie, and the Kingsbarns Golf Links.

Everybody plays each course and then the leading 20 teams & 60 professionals play the final round on The Old Course.

This tournament has to be, by far, the best to watch as a spectator as you get very close to the action as there are fewer spectators than usual.

The first 3 days are free for spectators. The final day at St Andrews costs only 20 GBP (adults) or 15 GBP (seniors).

I have seen the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship many times before and I love it.

Last year, Danny Willett won the tournament with an impressive score of 270 (-18).

Can Danny do it again or will it be Rory’s turn?
